Meet Our August 2020 Winner!
“Fund My Future was just a shining beam of positivity and we ware truly grateful that we were able to share it with our family. I believe that Fund My Future is one of Pennsylvania’s Best Kept Secrets” — Rebecca
Rebecca joined Fund My Future in April 2020 and became a Fund My Future $1000 Winner in August 2020. Seventeen months earlier both she and her husband became brand new parents. When their bundle of joy arrived they started looking for ways to start saving for their child’s future and low and behold, they received a flyer in the mail from the Pennsylvania Treasurer’s Keystone Scholar’s Program. Rebecca decided to look into the program and thought it was a great opportunity to start saving for her little one’s education. She completed the online form and received the $100 deposit into her child’s Keystone Scholar’s account and then she saw the Fund My Future information on the same website. She clicked on the Fund My Future link and took the PA Savings Pledge, giving her a chance to win.
After taking the PA Savings Pledge, she received information from Fund My Future. She said she enjoyed scrolling through all the photos of winners in the Monthly Spotlight Newsletters. When COVID-19 shut things down, Fund My Future offered families alternative ways to win. Rebecca was moved by this, making her feel like she was a member of an organization that truly cares for their families. Since winning, Rebecca has been spreading the word about Fund My Future.
With college prices being so expensive, Rebecca wants to save for her children. In addition to her $500 winning being deposited into her child’s PA529 account, Rebecca is also going to deposit her portion of the winnings ($500) into her child’s PA529, making the total amount deposited into her child’s account $1000!
